Mission for Area People (M.A.P.)

The “Mission for Area People” is an outreach soup kitchen, pantry, clothes supply, and connection for people. Trinity has been working with the MAP Supper House since 2002. The members of Trinity under the leadership of Gary Fahenstiel prepare and serve the supper meal on the third Thursday of each month. It is a great training ground for our young people and a place for our people to serve in the Muskegon Heights area. This ministry outreach is supported by the members of Trinity.

Disaster Relief

Trinity has sent two relief and rebuild teams to Camp Biloxi, in the Biloxi, Mississippi area over the past two years to assist with the rebuilding efforts following the Katrina Hurricane in 2005. Our teams have been provided support money for the gas by the congregation. Each team member has paid for their housing in the camp and Lutheran churches in Dothan, AL and Bowling Green,KY have provided a place to stay overnight and a meal the next day for the team.

30 Hour Famine

Each Year during Lent our High School youth participate in World Vision’s 30 hour famine.  This 30 hour fast raises awareness of world hunger, provides opportunity to raise pledges for world hunger, and provides the High School youth with an excellent opportunity for spiritual growth and fellowship.
